collection of design illustrates the process by which I come up
with much of the productionwork for vulne pro, small thumbnail
roughs. Interestingly enough I used to draw small like this years
ago but in college I was told not to do so. For design this is
actually wrong. The smaller the better. Even more interesting
was when I met Kenichi Sonoda at Anime Central in 99 and he told
me to start drawing small again. I have since gone back to the
practice of small thumbnails for design. Why? Because you can
control the outcome of design elements much better when dealing
with small sketches. You have a better sense of the outcome.
